Brushed Metal Shader VOP node

A basic brushed metal shader.

This shader simulates a metal that has been brushed in a circular pattern.

Parameters

General

Base Color

The overall color of the surface.

Roughness

Controls how dull a surface appears. A value of 0.0 results in a smooth surface with perfectly sharp reflections. A value of 1.0 produces a completely dull surface. Under the hood, this simulates microscopic bumps which become more pronounced the higher the Roughness, causing reflected light to be scattered more.

Brush Circles

Brush Amount

Controls the strength of the brush effect.

Amount Random

Controls how randomized the brush effect is per circle.

Frequency

The frequency of the repeating brush pattern.

Spacing Fraction S

How far apart circles are positions as a fraction of their diameter in the s direction.

Spacing Fraction T

How far apart circles are positions as a fraction of their diameter in the t direction.

Stagger

The amount to stagger alternating rows of circles.

Jitter

Amount to jitter circle positions by.

Brush Tracks

Brush Tracks

Create circular streaks within each circle.

Frequency

The frequency of the tracks.

Random Offset

Offsets the track pattern randomly for each circle

Anisotropic

Amount of anisotropy.
